Our Team

MEET THE TEAM

At ICTFILM, we believe the best way to learn filmmaking is by making films. That's why we regularly collaborate with some of the most talented students and recent graduates from Wichita State University's School of Digital Arts, giving them real-world experience on professional productions. Every project becomes an opportunity to mentor the next generation of filmmakers while bringing fresh ideas and energy to our work. While our crews often grow and evolve based on the needs of each production, the team members featured below serve as the core leadership group that helps guide every project from concept to completion.

Robert Thomas - CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Robert is an award-winning filmmaker, educator, and commercial director based in Wichita, Kansas. As the co-founder of ICTFILM and Associate Director of the School of Digital Arts at Wichita State University, Robert has spent more than a decade helping brands, organizations, and storytellers connect with audiences through cinematic visual storytelling. His work spans national commercial campaigns, documentaries, branded content, and narrative films, with projects earning regional recognition including a Heartland Emmy Award. Whether directing a broadcast commercial, producing a documentary, or mentoring the next generation of filmmakers, Robert is driven by a belief that great stories have the power to inspire, inform, and create meaningful connections.

Kayla VosBurg - Creative Producer

Kayla is an actor, director, educator, and creative producer based in Wichita, Kansas. As Head of Acting for the School of Digital Arts at Wichita State University, she specializes in performance for film and digital media, helping actors develop authentic, compelling on-screen performances. With more than a decade of professional experience working on productions across both coasts, Kayla brings a wealth of creative and producing expertise to every project. As Creative Producer for ICTFILM, she guides creative development, talent direction, and production strategy, ensuring that every story is both emotionally engaging and thoughtfully executed. Her passion for performance, collaboration, and storytelling helps create meaningful connections between brands, organizations, and their audiences. When she’s not on set or in the classroom, Kayla’s favorite role is being a mom to her three beautiful children, who inspire her creativity, curiosity, and sense of adventure every day.

ASH FARNEY - PRoduction Manager

Ash is a filmmaker, editor, and production manager whose passion for storytelling began as a student in the School of Digital Arts at Wichita State University. A 2023 graduate of the program, Ash studied under Robert Thomas and Kayla Vosburg before launching a professional career in film and commercial production. After graduation, she returned to join ICTFILM as Production Manager, where she oversees project logistics, coordinates productions, and helps guide projects from concept through delivery. Ash has contributed to a wide range of commercial, documentary, and narrative productions, including serving as Production Manager and Editor for Hope in the Heartland, a documentary that earned a Heartland Regional Emmy Award. Known for her organization, creative problem-solving, and collaborative spirit, Ash plays a vital role in bringing stories to life both behind the scenes and in the edit suite.

INDIE - THE ICTFILM DOG

Indie is the official ICTFILM Dog and the undisputed morale manager of every production. While his official duties include greeting crew members, accepting treats, and ensuring no snack goes uninspected, he also serves as a constant reminder not to take filmmaking too seriously. Indie has been spotted on commercial sets, in edit sessions, and occasionally wandering into meetings he was not invited to. His favorite activities include chasing tennis balls, supervising camera setups, and taking naps in the most inconvenient locations possible. Though he has yet to earn an Emmy, he firmly believes his contributions to team morale have gone wildly underrecognized. When not working, Indie enjoys long walks, belly rubs, and dreaming about becoming the first dog to direct a feature film.
