If you had a chance to do it again, just to be with the person you loved one more time, would you?”

— Jason “Do It Again”

Synopsis

We all want a relationship that is better than okay. We want someone whom we can trust and connect with on a deeper level. Brian believes he has found that person in Nicole. The only hang up? She doesn't seem to see it that way.

Brian and Nicole first connect at a coffee shop where she is stood up for a blind date. Brian takes this as a fated opportunity to strike up a conversation, and the two hit it off right away. Their relationship continues to grow and things seem to be going great for the pair, until we see everything fall apart, as Nicole leaves a disastrous dinner date without even speaking to Brian. In this whirlwind of emotion, Brian notices something strange, a mysterious button that has appeared on the ground seemingly out of thin air. The button reads “Do It Again” in big, blocky red letters. Curiosity gets the best of Brian, and he picks up the button and presses it.

Next thing he knows, he finds himself reliving the entire relationship again, right back from the moment it started in the coffee shop. Can Brian do it right now that he is given this second chance at the relationship?

“Do It Again” is a short film that explores what it means to have a successful relationship- when it is time to hold on and when it is best to let go.

Director’s Note

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about our film “Do It Again”. Our team is endlessly grateful to all of those who made the film possible through diligent work at all levels of production, as well as, to the audiences that invested in it by watching.

This filming process was unique from others I’ve done because I got to experience being an actor-director. It was an exercise in trust to turn over the camera to my collaborators and fully focus on being present as an actor. However, this was a testimony to the professionalism and expertise of the production team we put together. They are responsible for bringing the look and feel of this story to life.

I wrote “Do It Again” because I am fascinated with relationships and the nuances that make them work, or not. This film explores the concept of walking away from someone BECAUSE of your love for them and how to know when that is the right choice.
