Our story

ICTFILM was founded by faculty from Wichita State University's School of Digital Arts who recognized a challenge facing many aspiring filmmakers: graduating with technical knowledge but limited professional experience. Having built careers in commercial production, documentary filmmaking, and narrative storytelling, we knew that the best way to prepare students for the industry was to place them on professional sets alongside experienced filmmakers.

What began as a way to bridge the gap between the classroom and the industry quickly grew into something larger. We discovered that local businesses and organizations often needed high-quality video content but lacked access to the level of production value typically reserved for larger markets and bigger budgets.

Today, ICTFILM serves both missions. We produce award-winning content for select clients while creating hands-on learning opportunities that help launch the careers of emerging filmmakers. By intentionally limiting the number of projects we take on each year, we ensure every client receives our full attention and every production becomes a meaningful educational experience.
